Sea life (and death)

Mr. Jack

Mr. Jack the octopus followed us home from the beach. He needs a face, and maybe a pirate’s eye-patch. yarn: Sugar ‘n Cream, cotton, red

Other sea life that we saw at the coast in the tide pools by Haystack rock.

This last photo is not a cute creature in the tide pools, but a decomposing sea lion. Surprisingly it didn’t reek of rotting flesh (until you get really close with the camera). The maggots were doing a good job of keeping the rot in check. I thought this was exciting and I would show more pictures but I assume most people may not be as interested. There are always such fascinating things at the beach.
